Viet Nam’s seafood export turnover in November reached US$852 million, raising the total value in 11 months to $8.1 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.8 per cent.
Viet Nam’s seafood export turnover is expected to reach US$8.3 billion this year, posting an 18 per cent increase over 2016, according to the Viet Nam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).
The Viet Nam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) has
requested the State Bank of Việt Nam to revise existing regulations to
let them access short-term foreign currency loans.
The country''s seafood exports fell to an estimated US$6.72 billion in
2015, down 14.3 per cent over 2014 and 10.4 per cent compared with this
year''s target.
The total merchandise export turnover was recorded at US$63.2 billion
in the first five months of this year, an increase of 7.3 per cent over
last year''s figure.
In October, Viet Nam exported US$689 million worth of seafood products,
bringing its total seafood export turnover over the first 10 months to
around $5.37 billion, up 6 per cent year-on-year, according the Ministry
of Agriculture and Rural Development.
